the staff was just incredible. I had the honor of being the one to marry them. My first wedding ceremony. One of the staff members, Steve helped keep me on an even keel. He was attentive to everything going on and gave some great suggestions to help us through. He was the calm in the storm. He always had a smile, never a stressful situation with him.
We sat and had a few talks just about general things in life to keep me calm provide some guidance.
I recently attended a wedding at the Ramsdell and assisted the Bride and Groom with set-up. Xavier was extremely quick to respond to written and verbal requests. He was not only present during set-up, but introduced us to a volunteer in a new city-volunteer program, who also helped out throughout the day. On the day of the wedding, Steve was present for the entire event. He was very helpful, and remained in constant communication throughout the night. He even assisted with small wedding details that weren’t his responsibility. If you’re looking for the small town personality and charm, with the class and professionalism of a larger organization, in one of the most beautiful historic buildings in Norther Michigan- this is your place. Our experience was exceptional!
In one of our conversations Saturday evening, I found out his job was the maintenance guy and whatnot. I had no clue because what he did for us was so far beyond a Maintenence guy.

The staff and volunteers are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and you cannot beat the beautiful setting for any type of function. The staff are accommodating and go above and beyond to ensure events go smoothly. They also coordinate well with vendors. This historic building has rooms for all occasions and crowd sizes. The Ramsdell always provides a memorable experience, and the prices are affordable.
The Manistee Downtown Development Authority held a community visioning session at the Ramsdell Theatre. It was a great event in an amazing setting. The staff was helpful and attentive. Keep up the great work!
